About the event
We are in an era of talent intelligence where companies are turning to data solutions and artificial intelligence to source, hire and retain talent. As part of this, talent leaders have to shift from traditional methods such as simply evaluating a candidate’s last job or current skillset, to assessing where new talent pools are, identifying what skills gaps currently exist, and evaluating if the candidate has skills that can be transformed to fit a different role within the company.
In this session, Nicholas DeMarinis, Head of Talent Solutions at LinkedIn Hong Kong, will show how talent leaders can effectively put their data to work to overcome competitive hiring threats, find hidden talent pools, and better match and anticipate the preferences of the candidate – ultimately elevating the candidate’s potential, the role of the talent leader, and the company overall.

Nick DeMarinis is the Head of Talent Solutions for North Asia at LinkedIn and on the Leadership Team for LinkedIn Hong Kong. He joined LinkedIn 7 years ago from Yahoo and moved from New York to Hong Kong in 2013 to help grow its business in Asia Pacific. He has 10+ years of experience in the technology industry and currently leads LinkedIn’s largest business, Talent Solutions, across Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Saint Leo University in Tampa, Florida and a Master’s Degree in International Business from St. John's University in Rome, Italy.
